CALL TO WORSHIP
L: The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear?
P: The LORD is the stronghold of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?
L: One thing I asked of the LORD, that will I seek after:
P: To behold the beauty of the LORD, and to inquire in his temple.
L: “Come,” my heart says, “seek his face!”
P: Your face, LORD, do I seek.
L: O Lord God of our salvation, we worship and adore you,
P: We will sing your praises forever and ever. Amen!
*HYMN OF PRAISE NO. 26 – “O Worship the King all Glorious Above”
*CONFESSION OF SIN
O Lord God, full of mercy and compassion, give us courage today to see ourselves in the mirror of Your Son Jesus Christ. We confess that we fall so short of all You have made us to be. Give us grace, O gracious Lord, lest we be overcome by the truth of our shortcomings. Give us understanding, O Lord of truth that we might receive and grow in the redemption so freely offered in Jesus our Savior. Amen.

*SERMON – “CHOOSING SPIRITUAL LEADERS” Dr. Don McGarity
Leader: Let us affirm those things which are most assuredly believed among us:
P: I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth, And in Jesus Christ his only Son our Lord; who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried; he descended into hell; the third day he rose again from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and sitteth on the right hand of God the Father Almighty, from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit; the holy catholic church; the communion of saints; the forgiveness of sins; the resurrection of the body; and the life everlasting. Amen

Duval Home. Collection boxes for these are in Stump-Hall.
Presbyterian Women will be setting up an emergency mini food basket program to assist families who come to us in need. We do not plan to usurp the Food Pantry but provide a small amount of food, a gas card, address and information about the Food Pantry, and our prayers. Ana will keep a list of names and dates so there hopefully will be no “abuse” of our generosity. Could you assist with a little bit of cash? Thank you all
Thanks to Steve Gay for his lawn maintenance ministry!
