WELCOME AND ANNOUNCEMENTS
GREETING
Minister: The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God and the
fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.
People: And also with you.
Minister: Let us offer each other the peace of Christ.
People: (Please greet your neighbor saying: “The peace of the Lord be with

LIGHTING OF THE ADVENT CANDLE OF LOVE
Liturgist: We light this candle as a sign of the light of Christ. Advent means
coming. We are preparing ourselves for the days when the nations
will beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning
hooks. Nation will not take up sword against nation, Nor will they
train for war anymore. —-Isaiah 2:4
PEOPLE: The wolf shall dwell with the lamb, the leopard shall lie down with
the kid, the calf and the lion and the fatling together, and a little
child shall lead them. —-Isaiah 11:6
Liturgist: The wilderness and the dry land shall be glad,
the desert shall rejoice and blossom; like the crocus it shall
blossom abundantly, and rejoice with joy and singing. —Isaiah 35:1
PEOPLE: The Lord will give you a sign. Look, the virgin is with child and shall
bear a son, and shall name him Emmanuel (God with us).
ALL: Let us walk in the light of our Lord.

*APOSTLES CREED
Let us confess the faith of our baptism, as we say:
I believe in God, the father almighty, Creator of heaven and earth. I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord. He was conceived
by the power of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried. He descended to the dead. On the third day he rose again. He ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen OFFERING
